Here we track exchanges on the evolving status of the 'Watch the Weave' tools.

Added a specification for a plugin for Book-style categories in wiki. This now duplicates the two basic cases anticipated in August 2021: - A hierarchy, book-style - A weave, pattern-language style wiki

The roster used in Watch the Weave is different from the current roster in my wikis.
The difference is families.wiki.foprop.org
The one you have used
The one I'm currently running

Added a number of family pages to the narrative frame in wiki.foprop.org, and tagged them. Might start linking these soon, so a **diagram** of Weavables' linkages could begin to be interesting? Updated the list of Categories https://pattern.wiki.foprop.org/categories-in-foprop.html
09 dec 2023 mh
Created the first pattern in families.wiki.foprop.org - as distinct from pages in the narrative weave, in wiki.foprop.org Patterns and narrative entries will will run in parallel. To begin (and for quite some time) we will attempt patterns only at 'family' level. We will look at relationships between **families** rather than between individual patterns. Relationships between **patterns** are defined in the pattern itself. See https://families.wiki.foprop.org/pattern-template.html A Graphviz module is called for, to draw the network of patterns-around-a-pattern: two-up, two-down.

I changed zone 1in-here to 1inhere. Because in Watch the Weave, the category name was being truncated at the hyphen.

Just the ticket Ward 🙂 I haven't yet had opportunity to fork into my own site and make it work here, but it clearly works at this first level of implementation.
Query: how to search on the other categories - or rather sub-categories, for example Zone: 2here. Do I need to copy/tweak the html in github?
AN Other query: how to specify the population of sites. In my forked page here https://pattern.wiki.foprop.org/watch-the-weave.html it's coming up blank.
A next step: search on the intersection of two categories? Like Landscape: 2culture Family: Pattern

We now distinguish the table, Project Weave Diagram, from the raw data dump, Project Weave Preview. Both are work in progress.

We anticipate rendering the weave as widely and uniformly spaced areas defined by shades of color. We anticipate tuning the actual colors so offer Mixing Background Colors as an experiment. This will be merged with the existing diagram but for now I used RGB color numbers as sample data.
